Does your congregation need a web presence? |

Does your congregation now have a website? If so "How long ago was it upated?" Does it inspire? While building a website directory for the Churches of Christ, I have visited literally thousands of sites. It was disappointing and embarrasing to see some of them. Money saving steps allowed popup ads (that are truly unwholesome) show up all over the place, sometime right on top of the front page himself. Many have let there domain name go unrenewed, and now are an advertising place for things that I am sure the congregation would not want attributed to their congregation. Most of us would pull up any signs planted on our congregation’s front lawn wouldn’t we? But this is not the case with many congregations. Take a look at all we have to offer.. Your website should be a place that people can find, first of all, and then it must contain a lot of information about your beliefs, your goals, your dreams, and what it is like at your congregation each time you come together. These things only take occasional time. New Preachers may come and go, and you may start or stop programs. New Elders or Deacons can change every year, so you should be able to have anyone do it easily.
